Wash Day

It has been a while since I've done a wash day post, and I honestly need to get back into the habit of writing my experience down.

Besides the fact that my scalp isn't yet fully healed from my last relaxer (rolls eyes), and that my scalp has been acting up because of my dermatitis, my hair has not felt moisturized. It's felt rough and icky for lack of a better word. Today's wash day went as follows:

Did a hot oil treatment with coconut oil on the length of my hair and a mix of castor, olive, and eucalyptus oils on my scalp for an hour.

Lathered once with Hydrating macadamia oil shampoo. This shampoo is no good to me.

Tea rinse by pouring the tea on my hair and letting it stay on for about four minutes before rinsing it.

Deep conditioned with hydrating macadamia intensive moisture mask for two and half hours, with minutes being spent under the dryer.

Conditioned with  Cantu Shea Butter moisturizing conditioner.

 Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse.

As usual, I decided to air dry.

Once my hair was 95% dry I detangled, then applied my JBCO mix to my scalp, moisturized with  Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula with vitamin E, then sealed with coconut oil.

  1. I think I read someone else say that the Macadamia shampoo wasn't that great. How did the conditioner work for you? I've eyed this product a few times, but would rather steer clear if it's not any good.

    1. Both the conditioner and deep conditioner work really well for me, but the shampoo is just no good for my hair. The first time I used the conditioner my hair was soft for the two weeks between my wash days, I was on cloud nine lol.

  2. My memory bites so keeping track of my wash experiences helps me when I can't figure out if a technique rocked and when a product bites. Plus we totally miss you!
